How to use this gooloo jump starter?
While it is true that using this booster is pretty simple, there are a few notes from our experience that are worth posting here.
First of all, make sure your booster shows at least 2 LEDs on for the charge status. If not, you may want to put it to charge before using it to ensure better results.
Once ready, place your GP4000 as close as possible to the battery since its cables are not that long. Also, make sure it is not close to any moving parts or both the car and the booster may get damaged when the engine starts.
Make sure to connect the red clamp to the positive terminal of the battery and the black clamp to the negative one. The booster will not work if the connection is reversed, so be sure to get this right.
Here is a tricky thing about these boosters (not only the GP4000 but all that with a boost mode available). If the battery is heavily discharged, the booster won’t detect the connection.
At this point you may feel urged to use the boost mode, which is the right thing to do, yet before doing so, make sure the connection is right, since the boost mode deactivates the protection layers of the jump starter and if the connection is reversed it may damage your car.
Many people don’t know this and force power to the battery with a reversed connection, so be sure to have it properly connected, that is, the red clamp to the positive and the black to the negative terminal of your battery.
Like I said, this booster is very easy and intuitive, and if you follow these guidelines you should not have any problem with it.
