ADVANTAGES of the noco BOOST max gb251
This investment gives you peace of mind: It is hard to describe the feeling when you discover your car’s battery is dead, yet most people can relate to it. Having the GB251+ on your side will save you from feeling that again.
You receive more than what you give: While the price may seem high at first, you have to consider this is a one time investment. On the other hand, if you add all the delays, the plans ruined, the frustration and the monetary costs of all of this and compare it with the price of this booster, then you are in front of a true bargain.
24V and 3000 Amps: This jump starter is designed for 24V commercial vehicles like buses, mining, construction, and all gas and diesel engines of up to 32L in size.
Effective Force Start Function: If a battery is heavily discharged the the jump starters won’t detect it and you won’t be able to start your car. The manual override function allows you to force power to the battery and jump start the engine.
Power Bank for your Electronics: The GB251 also powers your phone, tablet, cameras, earbuds and other small electronics.
2x USB A Ports: Use these ports to charge your electronic gadets.
12V Cigarette adapter: You can charge your GB251 at the same time you drive. Thus you can be sure its ready in case you need it.
5 min = 1 jumpstart: Other jump starters need 50% to 80% of its battery for jumpstarting your car. The GB251 just needs 5 minutes and it will give you at least 1 effective jump start.
Quick Charge: The GB251+ Noco fully charges in 8.5 hours when the battery is empty. Also, this is possible thanks to the included XGC power adapter.
No Sparks protection safety feature: People are afraid to jump start a car because sparks are always a possibility. With the Ultra Safe technology of the Noco GB251 this is no longer the case. And yes, even if clamps touch each other.
No damage to your car due to a reversed connection: Another reason why people don’t like to jump start a car with jumper cables is because it these are connected in the wrong order, the car’s electronics could get damaged. The GB 251 is designed to not work if the connection is reversed.
Temperature protection for the internal battery: Lithium batteries like the one the GB251 has must operate in a specific range of temperature or they could get damaged. This booster will warn you if the temperature of the battery is not right to help you protect your investment.
Power management: In order to avoid depleting the battery if the booster is stored turned on, the auto power conservation function shuts down the jump starter so the battery keeps its charge and is ready when you need it.
Engineered with Lithium battery: This is what allows boosters like this one to be so small, portable, and powerful, compared to jump starters that use lead-acid batteries.
600 Lumen lamp: If the situation requires it, the LED lamp of this booster pack will illuminate your way to help you see in the dark.

HOW TO USE THE gb251 noco
The usage of this booster is pretty simple, yet here are a few notes I think you may appreciate.
- The connection to the battery must be right, that is, red clamp to positive and black clamp to negative.
- Power On the booster and if all is good the charge LEDs will chase and the BOOST LED will lit.
- Start the engine.
Now… just in case things are going on a bit different for you, here is what you need to do.
AN LED IS A ON OR BLINKING – WHAT SHOULD I DO?
The image above gives you a good idea of what each LED is for and the potential errors these may point to. My recommendation is to read the manual or the specification sheet listed below in this post to understand what the issue is.
However, the most common problem is a reverse polarity issue, which means you just need to connect the clamps in the right order.
But… what if no error led is either solid or blinking and still nothing happens?
Then you need to use the force start function to help you boost the battery. Here a few thoughts about it.
- A quick way to confirm this if to check if the voltmeter reads less than 2V when connected to the battery. If so, this is a clear indication the battery is flat dead.
- Sometimes even a little under of 10V the battery is not detected by the jump starter, so the manual override is still required.
- The manual override function will disable all safety features, so if clamps touch each other there will be some sparks.
- Make sure the clamps are attached to the right terminal.
- Press and hold the manual override button for about 3 seconds and wait for the chasing pattern in the charge LEDs. The BOOST LED will blink on and off indicating force start function is active.
- Start the engine.
- After this, turn off the booster and disconnect the clamps.
The operation of this booster is extremely easy and intuitive, yet here are some videos in case you want to see a little demonstration of it.

What is the best model for my semi truck, 250 or 251?
It depends on the battery voltage of your semi truck. 250 model is for 12V batteries and 251 is for 24V batteries.
is this good for my semi truck even if it has several batteries?
Yes. As long as it is 24V, the GB251 is the model you need. If your semi truck is 12V, then use the GB250.
